ADV ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY

An advanced course in the study of adult psychopathology. Lecture and readings emphasize psychological and neuroscience perspectives on disorders such as depression and schizophrenia. Readings are primarily journal articles and other original sources. Topics also include the logic of diagnostic systems, methodological and ethical issues in psychopathology research, integration across levels of analysis, and translating research findings into effective interventions.
