An examination of the historical treatment of the LGBTQ population in psychological practice, the evolution of mental-health care for members of the LGBTQ community, and the psychological effects of social norms on LGBTQ individuals, couples, and families, including non-pathologizing, heterosexual bias, genderism, self-identification, coming out, multiple-minority identities, parenting, and couple dynamics.
