Cognition in classrooms, courtrooms, hospitals, grocery stores, kitchens, jobs, sports, and dance. Focus on Medical Cognition, Courtroom Cognition, and Memory for Movement. For each setting--successful vs. mediocre performance, types of errors, and applications. Visits by experts (e.g., pharmacists, doctors, judges, lawyers, chefs, choreographers) to discuss the cognitive processes essential for their jobs. Instructor: Day
