Explore the cellular and molecular mechanisms that alter brain function in diverse neurological disorders, with an emphasis on understanding how disruptions of neural circuits drive behavioral and cognitive dysfunction. Students read and critically evaluate primary literature on topics including Alzheimer s disease, Parkinson s disease, ALS, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries.
