Congratulations to P&N PhD alumnus Dr. Kenneth Gergen, who has won the 2017 Distinguished Alumni award from Duke Graduate School.

Gergen, who grew up in Durham, is a prominent social psychologist. He received his PhD from P&N in 1963, where the title of his dissertation was Interaction Goals and Personalistic Feedback as Factors Affecting The Presentation of Self.
