  • Research Description

My primary research interest lies in the area of mindfulness-based interventions, which include mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). I am interested in investigating the efficacy of these interventions in treating psychological disorders, as well as the mechanisms through which mindfulness training affects psychological functioning. More broadly speaking, I am interested in studying emotion regulation--how various emotion regulation strategies (specifically mindfulness and acceptance) can be employed to enhance emotion functioning, within or outside of the context of psychopathology.
