Undergraduate Internships, Project Horseshoe Farm

Project Horseshoe Farm is a 501(c)3  community based non-profit organization in Greensboro, Alabama.  Since its founding in 2007, Horseshoe Farm has grown to become a multifaceted service and leadership development organization dedicated to strengthening our community, improving the quality of life of our vulnerable neighbors, and preparing citizen service leaders for tomorrow's communities.

Horseshoe Farm has developed and runs innovative support programs for adults in our community including a Health Partners Program, Day Programs, and Enhanced Independent Living Housing Programs. We also support children through our comprehensive K-12 after school tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment programs.

Finally, Project Horseshoe Farm offers leadership development programs including a unique one year Fellowship for top recent college graduates interested in the intersection of Leadership, Community, and Service in Healthcare and Education.

As part of our mission to prepare future citizen service leaders, Horseshoe Farm offers internship and elective rotation opportunities to medical students, medical residents, health professions students, and other graduate and undergraduate students who have the potential to help see and build a better future with tomorrow's communities. Horseshoe Farm offers 8-10 week undergraduate internships in fall, winter, spring, and summer for students interested in future work in medicine, public and community health, psychology, education, and community service leadership. In addition, we offer a shorter, 3-4 week internship in January for interested students.
