Literary and visual studies within a French context of perceptual knowledge, aesthetics, expectation, imagination, and social cognition. Close reading of literature and art in relation to progressive movements in Parisian society, and phenomenological studies of the cognitive processes involved in the creation and perception of visual and performing art forms.
