The emergence of different types of relationships at different ages (for example, friendship, marital relationship, parenthood) and the developmental changes that occur in social relationships across the life span; the differing roles these relationships play in the development of the individual. The beneficial and harmful effects of social relationships at different stages in life. Prerequisite: Psychology 103 or 221.
