Comparative Neuroanatomy

This team-based learning laboratory course provides an in-depth understanding of vertebrate neuroanatomy. Students will obtain a 3D working knowledge of the CNS through clinical case studies. This course will also introduce students to evolutionary principles that guide the phylogenetic development of the vertebrate CNS. Laboratory work with human brains and a variety of other vertebrate brains. Grade determined by performance on individual and team assessments, laboratory work, book chapter discussions, and cumulative final exam.
Prerequisite: Neuroscience 101/Psychology 106 or Neuroscience 102/Psychology 107
