The adaptive functions and physiological mechanisms of hormone-brain-behavior interaction through an examination of research and models in the field. Empirical and theoretical papers on the hormonal modulation of reproduction, rhythms, sexual differentiation, mood, learning and memory; perspectives on topics ranging from clinical basic science, with consideration of ethical issues. Research paper required. Prerequisite PSY 106/NEUROSCI 101 and at least 2 other courses in Psychology, Neuroscience or Evolutionary Anthropology to provide background. One course.
