Dr Paolo Mannelli is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University, Medical Director of the Duke Center for Addiction Science and Technology, and Associate Medical Director of Duke Addictions Programs. His main research interests encompass neurobiological, translational, and clinical aspects of substance use disorders, in particular intoxication and withdrawal from opioids, alcohol and stimulants, as well as biological markers of disease and comorbid disorders. He is actively involved with addiction medication development programs, Public Health and research efforts to identify/overcome obstacles to the treatment of substance use disorders, and expand available resources.
