Precision and Neural State-Controlled Transcranial Brain Stimulation for Research and Therapy

April 3, -
Speaker(s): Ivan Alekseichuk, PhD
Ivan Alekseichuk, Ph.D. is a senior research scientist in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He develops personalized and state-controlled transcranial brain stimulation methods informed by electrophysiological recordings as a therapy for brain disorders. In the past several years, he led fundamental studies in mechanisms of electromagnetic brain stimulations as well as translational clinical trials in memory impairment and mood disorders in adults. Dr. Alekseichuk completed his postdoctoral training in neural engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and his Ph.D. in systems neuroscience at the University of Göttingen Medical Center, Germany.
