The MOSAIC Lab (Maximizing Opportunities to Scale Autism Interventions in Communities) in the Child Division of the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami, directed by Dr. Straiton‑Webster, is seeking a full-time Lab Manager / Research Associate. This position is based in Coral Gables, Florida and offers valuable research experience for individuals interested in autism, youth behavioral health, and implementation science.

Job Description:

The Lab Manager / Research Associate will lead both administrative and research procedures for the MOSAIC Lab. Research projects focus on improving the quality of autism services delivered in community settings through implementation strategies such as in-service consultation, with a particular emphasis on caregiver-mediated naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs). This role is well suited for individuals planning to pursue graduate training in psychology, behavioral health, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage IRB protocols and regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, consent, and retention
  • Collect research data in community and field-based settings
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative datasets for analysis
  • Support or lead clinical assessments of participants, with supervision
  • Co-lead community-engaged research efforts in South Florida
  • Build and maintain collaborative, trust-based relationships with community partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human development, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Interest in autism intervention research and implementation science
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior research or clinical experience related to autism or youth behavioral health
  • Experience with community-based or implementation-focused research
  • Interest in pursuing graduate training in a related field
