Clinical Research Assistant Position @ The Pediatric Anxiety Research Center

The Pediatric Anxiety Research Center (PARC; located in Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI and affiliated with the Brown Medical School) is an integrated research and clinical program nationally recognized in pediatric OCD and anxiety. PARC encompasses research projects, outpatient services, and an Intensive Treatment Program for OCD. PARC has continually received research funding since 1999 for treatment outcome, dissemination, implementation, and comparative effectiveness research. Current PARC research focuses on developing and evaluating innovative treatment models for youth with OCD and anxiety; improving quality assessment in exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety; training providers in the community to deliver evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety; understanding how sleep relates to exposure therapy outcomes; testing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adolescents with OCD; and training parents to support exposure practice as part of exposure therapy.

PARC is looking for a full-time clinical research assistant to support research activities for multiple ongoing research projects. Commitment to at least two years in a position is preferred. The Improving Access to Child Anxiety Treatment (IMPACT) study is focused on increasing treatment options for youth with anxiety and OCD funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The Brief Assessment of Effective Exposure (BRAVE) and Strategies for Training the In-home Delivery of Exposure (STRIVE) studies are focused on supporting community therapist delivery of exposure therapy in community mental health clinics and in the home and are funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Two additional projects funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) focus on understanding the relationship between sleep and exposure learning, and on the application of TMS for teens with OCD. The INSPIRE project focuses on testing parent training to support exposure therapy and is funded by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
