The University of Maryland Developmental Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab directed by Dr. Elizabeth Redcay (www.dscn.umd.edu) is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator (formal title: Faculty Specialist) beginning Summer 2021. This position is supported by a new grant examining biopsychosocial predictors of loneliness in typically-developing and autistic adolescents. Our methods include functional and structural MRI, behavioral measures, and experience sampling methods. This is an excellent position foranyone who would like to pursue graduate work in psychology or clinical or developmental neuroscience. We encourage applicants with a background in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, human development, communication, or related to apply.
Responsibilities will include management and coordination of aspects of large-scale longitudinal projects including participant recruitment, data collection, and data management. The ideal applicant will have experience with data management tools (e.g., redcap), excellent organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities, and experience working with families and children with autism. There may be opportunities for presenting data at conferences and co-authoring publications.
