Lab Manager/RA Position in Cognitive Neuroscience of Memory, Duke University

A lab manager/RA position is available for new NIH-R01 grant in the laboratories of Roberto Cabeza (www.cabezalab.org) and Simon Davis (https://sites.duke.edu/electricdino/) at the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience of Duke University (www.mind.duke.edu). MRI/fMRI scanning (www.biac.duke.edu) and TMS (http://sites.google.com/site/duken3lab/) facilities are located within a few hundred yards.

Research at the Cabeza Lab focuses on the neural mechanisms of memory and the effects of healthy and pathological aging using fMRI, functional connectivity, DTI, and TMS. Duties include recruitment and neuropsychological testing of young and older participants (healthy and with mild cognitive impairment), MRI scanning and analysis, supervision and training of undergraduate students, and general laboratory administration. The position includes opportunities for research and co-authorship of abstracts and papers. The position also includes participation in many intellectual activities (talks, seminars, courses, etc.) and eligibility for a post-baccalaureate fellowship in functional neuroimaging (www.biac.duke.edu/fellowship

Qualifications: B.A. or equivalent with a background in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related field. All candidates should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, good computer skills, and research experience. The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and attention to detail are essential. Experience in computer programming and familiarity with statistics are desirable.
