Research Assistant Position@ Behavioral Science Division, National Center for PTSD, Boston MA

The Behavioral Science Division, National Center for PTSD is looking to fill at leas t one research assistant position. RAs work closely with clinical psychologists on a variety of research activities in the area of Posttraumantic Stress Disorder and Intimate Partner Violence.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting data from research subjects and testing clinical patients
  • Entering data and managing databases
  • Performing statistical analyses
  • Conducting library research
  • Assisting in the preparation of grants, manuscripts, regulatory documents, and professional presentations.

Qualifications:

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in a health science, allied scientific or social science field with several college level courses in psychology and research methods

Preferred

  • Strong computer skills
  • A background in research methodology and statistics, and the maturity and interpersonal sensitivity necessary for working in a clinical setting
