Stanford Summer Research Assistant Opportunity

The Stanford Home Sleep Study, under the direction of Dr. James Gross and Dr. Sylvia Kreibig, is seeking two summer research assistants. The project seeks to understand how wake-time emotion regulation and sleep-time processes interact. This is a remote internship.

Internship Description

This position would be desirable for anyone who: · Is curious about emotions, sleep, and bruxism

  • · Desires clinical experience (conducting phone screens and interviews, interacting with participants remotely, etc.)
  • · Seeks a close-knit, supportive work environment
  • · Wants to refine their data analysis skills
  • · Would like to be part of a stable, long-term project that is relevant to the pandemic Eligibility

Our ideal applicant is an upperclassman in a BA program and possesses previous research (or relevant work) experience. Familiarity with data analysis and programming skills is a plus. This position may occasionally require work outside of regular hours (evenings) to accommodate session schedules. California residency is not required.

Commitments

This is an unpaid internship. We are seeking a 10 week full-time (~40 hours/week) summer commitment, flexible to the applicant’s school schedule, with the expectation that basic training be completed prior to the internship start date.
