Yale University Computational Social Cognition Lab Summer Internship 2021

The Computational Social Cognition Lab, led by Dr. Julian Jara-Ettinger, studies the cognitive building blocks of our ability to make sense of and navigate the social and physical world. Previous and current research in the lab has examined children’s understanding of fairness, number, and their ability to infer other’s knowledge. More information about our research can be found at https://compdevlab.yale.edu/

We are seeking undergraduate interns to assist with our research in a part-time position. Summer interns will have the chance to take part in all aspects of the research process; they will help recruit and test participants ages three to eight, learn to design and run studies, as well as code and analyze results. This is a great opportunity for undergraduates interested in pursuing research in cognitive development, cognition, or adjacent fields of research. Interns will work approximately 20 hours per week and the internship will run from June 1st – August 13th, 2021. Interns will be compensated $12.00 per hour and are encouraged to apply for additional funding from their respective universities.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please fill out the application found here, and attach your resume and an unofficial transcript at the end of the application form. Additionally, please have one letter of recommendation sent directly from the recommender to the lab manager at colin.jacobs@yale.edu with your full name referenced in the subject line of the email. Applications are due by 11:59pm on March 20th, 2021. Please contact colin.jacobs@yale.edu with any questions.
