Overview
My research interests include the role of peer relationships in the development of social competence and psychological adjustment. I am currently involved in two lines of research: (1) a comprehensive study of peer relationships among middle childhood girls, including the causes and consequences of peer rejection/victimization, and family factors related to girls' use of relational aggression; and (2) research on the dynamics of adolescent social networks and the role of peer influence processes in the development of early substance use and antisocial behavior.
