Katherine (Kibby) McMahon
Kibby McMahon is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Duke University. Under the mentorship of Dr. Zach Rosenthal, she is training in the science and practice of treating interpersonal issues within transdiagnostic clinical populations. Her research focuses on how emotion regulation skills (e.g. mindfulness) influences empathy, our ability the perceive and understand other people's emotions. She is also learning how to treat anxiety, depression and personality disorders with contemporary cognitive behavioral therapies. As a former Vinyasa yoga instructor, she draws upon this background in mindfulness practice to inform her research and clinical work.
