Psychology provided a great foundation from which I built upon. Understanding both the social and cognitive side of behavior enabled me to build a strong career in Organizational Psychology. I work in HR, I am aware of human behavior, I'm aware of how the brain interacts in various situations. This knowledge helps me as a professional, as a team member, as a manager, as a coach.
Study what you love. My father, also a Psychology major from Duke, always tells me to "Follow your bliss." If you do what makes you happy, you will be successful. I studied Psychology because I loved it. I was fascinated by the content. And, I was really excited to learn that I can apply that knowledge base in a corporate setting. Good luck!
