I have been studying emotion-cognition interactions, how these interactions are reflected in the brain, and how these psychological and neural processes are altered in psychopathology. My work has spanned cognitive, affective, social, and clinical psychology and neuroscience. I am particularly interested in how anticipation of emotion-laden events influences behavior, cognition, and the brain.
P&N provided me with a strong foundation in experimental psychology and neuroscience. I highly valued the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of the department which has allowed me to continue to bridge between different subfields of psychology/neuroscience in my research.
