Being a psych undergrad at Duke afforded me many research opportunities and close contact with renowned faculty that helped me get into a very competitive grad school. From there, I was able to apply my research and analytical skills from academia into industry.
Get a breadth of experiences and get involved with conducting your own research. The ability to take an abstract problem and test it concretely, creatively, and systematically is a great asset that applies regardless of your ultimate career path.
