Children's Peer Relations

Examination of the empirical literature with emphasis on the functions that peers serve for children, the developmental course of these relationships, the clinical ramifications and possible explanations for inadequate peer relations (including an examination of the family's role), and interventions used to improve children's relationships with their peers. Regular opportunities to analyze, critique, and synthesize primary research literature. Instructor: Asher
