Clinical Research Coordinator Position @ Duke University, Durham NC

The Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator, Sr. to oversee 3 projects directed by Dr. Kimberly Carpenter. Start date is flexible, with a goal of July 2024. The projects include: (1) understanding the impact of co-occurring anxiety, ADHD, and autism and (2) machine learning to develop synchronized EEG and behavior biomarkers in young autistic children.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of projects
  • Manage a team of clinical research specialists (research assistants) and undergraduates,
  • Recruitment and engagement
  • Data collection
  • Maintain study level regulatory documents and IRB protocols
  • Manage project deliverables to ensure on-time completion of projects
  • Coordination of complex studies requiring communication both within the institution and with international collaborators
  • Assist in the preparations and dissemination of research results.

Minimum experience

  • Requires an associate’s degree
  • Minimum of six years of research experience
  • A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 2 years required experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred experience

  • Experience working with neurodivergent children (Autism & ADHD)
  • Data management skills (RedCap)
  • Experience or working knowledge of neurophysiological data acquisition (eye tracking and EEG)
  • Working knowledge of good clinical practice and regulatory policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Neuroscience/related field
