Eliada Homes Residential Mental Health Paid Internship

As an Eliada Homes RISE Intern alumni and current RISE program manager, I would like to provide you with information on this excellent  internship opportunity located in Asheville, North Carolina. The RISE (Residential Interns Seeking Excellence) internship is a thirteen month-long paid position that provides recent college graduates the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the mental health field, while living on the beautiful, 300 acre campus at Eliada. Housing is benefit of this program, which also offers a built in network of support with other RISE Interns.

All employees have 24/7 access to a gym and recreation center with fooseball and pool tables as well as a rock climbing wall. Our beautiful campus has hiking trails and tennis courts that are available to all employees. Our RISE interns work as direct care staff, rotating every 2-3 months to gain exposure in Eliada's two different psychiatric residential treatment facilities (PRTFs) and one transitional level III with children ages 12-17. RISE staff also gain experience with various treatment models including Seeking Safety and Zones of Regulation. They are also able to participate in our animal and equine therapy program, and many other therapeutic and recreational activities that we have in place for our students. Internship opportunities are also available in the areas of health and wellness education.

This is a unique chance to acquire job-ready skills and credentials that will put you ahead of the competition. Many of our former RISE interns have gained admission into top graduate programs after completing the internship. RISE Interns frequently stay on with Eliada after their 13 month commitment and transition into full-time regular employment.   We are currently recruiting for training groups to begin in January and June of 2021.
