Education/Experience Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in education, psychology, sociology, economics, political science, public policy, or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience.  Candidates whose primary expertise is in research on K-12 education for practitioner or policymaker audiences are encouraged to apply.  The successful candidate will have strong quantitative research skills, be well-versed in qualitative and mixed methods research, a publication record that demonstrates strong empirical skills and an ability to produce policy-relevant research. 

The candidate will also show evidence of strong written and verbal communications skills as well as the ability to work effectively in teams to accomplish shared goals.  Candidates with familiarity of education in cross-national contexts are preferred but not required.   Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

A candidate may blend academic excellence with practical experience.  In addition, the individual must have the ability to undertake cutting-edge research and engage with broad and diverse audiences, including education policy makers, civil society leaders, members of the media, education policy community, and general public. 

Salary will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and will be commensurate with experience.  The start date is negotiable.
