PhD Program @ The Lab for the Developing Mind - Washington State University

The Lab for the Developing Mind directed by Dr. Sammy Perone at Washington State University is seeking a graduate student to begin Fall 2021. The lab investigates self-regulatory process from infancy through emerging adulthood. Incoming students will have the opportunity to contribute to a 4-year NSF funded project probing the origins of approach and avoidance motivational processes as they related to brain development using EEG and parent-child interactions. Research in the lab is highly collaborative and involves faculty in Human Development and Psychology.

Our PhD program is in Prevention Science which is housed in the Department of Human Development. Prevention Science is built upon developmental science. The program provides training in theory and basic research related to human development in the context of families, peers, and community, as well as advanced course work in statistics, implementation science, policy, and more. Students who apply by December 1 will be given priority.
