The Cognition, Affect, and Psychophysiology Lab (CAP Lab; https://support.psyc.vt.edu/labs/caplab) at Virginia Tech, headed by Martha Ann Bell, is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator. The position will ideally start as soon as possible.
The Project Coordinator will manage a NIMH-funded study investigating the development of fearful temperament across the first two years (baby BEAR study --- Behavior, Emotion, And Regulation) and also will work on an NSF-funded study investigating the development of effortful control across the first two years. CAP Lab incorporates a number of research methodologies, including EEG, ECG, behavioral observation, and questionnaires. The NIMH project is a three-site study in collaboration with Dr. Masha Gartstein at Washington State University and Dr. Nancy Jones at Florida Atlantic University. The Project Coordinator in CAP Lab will have virtual cross-site training opportunities with both teams. The Project Coordinator will work with our CAP Lab Research Lab Coordinator, who is supervising the funded projects in CAP Lab.
This is a limited-term appointment, funded for two years, and with possibility for renewal beyond two years. The position is ideal for an individual seeking additional research experience in preparation for graduate school.
