Psychology PhD Program @ Rutgers University - New Brunswick

Professors Alan Leslie and Jenny Wang are seeking applicants for funded positions in the Psychology PhD program (Cognitive Area) at Rutgers University - New Brunswick.

Our labs focus on understanding the origins of abstract ideas, such as object, number, people, and belief, and how such innate cognitive mechanisms support learning.

Our department has a vibrant and diverse faculty and world-class resources, with close links to the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science (RuCCS). In addition to the PhD program in Cognitive Psychology, doctoral students also have the opportunity to learn and conduct research in areas outside their specialization through the Graduate Certificate program at RuCCS. There is also an inter-university doctoral consortium, allowing graduate students to take courses from participating NY metropolitan area universities, including Columbia, NYU, Princeton (see the full list here).

The application deadline is December 15th. You can find more information about the application process here. Please note that our program does not require GRE scores for applications this year.

Please reach out to Alan Leslie and Jenny Wang directly to introduce yourselves, and/or if you have any questions!
