(PT) Coordinator, Program Management Position @ The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine

Summary

The Center for Medical Ethics & Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a part-time (up to 6 hours per week) Ethics Grand Rounds Coordinator to provide administrative support to the inter-institutional Grand Rounds program within the Center's robust clinical ethics program. The Center's Grand Rounds program enables healthcare professionals to maintain their knowledge of cutting-edge research, techniques and innovations through lectures, workshops and seminars featuring local, national, and internationally renowned speakers. The individual hired will collaborate with faculty and staff across Texas Medical Center institutions to effectively plan and implement regular Grand Rounds programming.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the administrative aspects of the Center’s Grand Rounds program
  • Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of training and educational activities for accreditation (CME, CNE, Social Work CPE, etc.)
  • Schedules and maintains the annual calendar for clinical educational programing
  • Coordinates speaker invitations, conference room reservations, and A/V needs
  • Receives and responds to all request for information regarding ethics grand rounds within one business day
  • Establishes and maintains event records including recordings, minutes, attendance, presentations, notes, and evaluations
  • Facilitates steering committee and clinical ethics education meetings including calendar coordination, agenda development, and action items

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in a professional, academic, or hospital related setting
  • Event management or program coordination experience is helpful
  • Knowledge and experience with CME/CNE accreditation preferred 
  • Occasional flexibility in scheduling for after-hours Grand Rounds
  • Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
