Recruiting Applicants for Western Kentucky University M.S. in Psychology Program

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Western Kentucky University is seeking applicants to its M.S. in Psychology Program. The program has two concentrations, one in Psychological Sciences (http://www.wku.edu/psychological-sciences/grad/ps/index.php), and one in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology (https://www.wku.edu/psychological-sciences/grad/io/index.php). Both concentrations are ranked highly in their respective disciplines.

Psychological Sciences Master’s Concentration:

  • 2 year, 37-credit hour program.
  • Designed to help students acquire the methodological and quantitative skills needed to compete for entry into a Ph.D. program in Psychology or a related area.
  • Program also provides research experience and training to be competitive on the job market.

Industrial/Organizational Psychology Master’s Concentration:

  • 2-year, 42 credit hour program.
  • Designed to help students develop marketable skills in personnel selection and placement, test construction and validation, performance appraisal, training, and organizational behavior.
  • Program is focused on the development of applied skills through integration of science and practice; in addition, students seeking to go on to a Ph.D. program in IO psychology have been successful.

In the last 6 years, 100% of our students received financial support through assistantships and/or tuition waivers.

If you know undergraduate students who might benefit from our M.S. in Psychology Program in either the Psychological Sciences or Industrial/Organizational Psychology concentrations, please share our websites with them or ask them to contact the program coordinators (Dr. Diane Lickenbrock, Psychological Sciences concentration, diane.lickenbrock@wku.edu) (Dr. Katrina Burch, Industrial/Organizational Psychology concentration, Katrina.burch@wku.edu).

We are planning a virtual open house in early February (details to come). Please share this Google form to students who might be interested. They may also visit the WKU Graduate School website for a list of recruitment events where they can obtain more information about the university and the town of Bowling Green (https://www.wku.edu/graduate/recruitment.php).

Students who apply by the March 1, 2023 deadline are given priority consideration for financial support.
