Data Collector Position[Part-time] @ Georgetown University, Washington DC

The Data Collector serves as an outgoing and caring professional that collects data via in person and virtual interviews with parents as part of a randomized controlled trial of an intervention called Connect to Baby. The pilot program will be delivered remotely, via Zoom, in collaboration with Early Head Start centers throughout Washington DC. Data will be collected in person from parents and virtually through Zoom interviews. Working directly with other data collectors and under the close supervision of the Private Investigators and the Project Manager, additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee administrative duties including preparation of materials for data collection, maintenance of records task, and scheduling sessions and data collection, tracking program and data collection efforts.
  • Use databases and other specialized software when necessary.
  • Schedule and conduct baseline and exit surveys and videotaped parent-child interactions (either in the home, at EHS centers or remotely via Zoom).
  • Collect pre-and post-assessment data and logging of this data into databases.

Requirements and Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior research experience collecting data and/or interacting with people
  • Observational coding experience using datayvu software and excel preferred
  • Familiarity with STATA or other statistical software preferred
  • Current driver’s license preferred
  • Spanish speaking skills highly preferred
